The diabetes mellitus is a common illness in the United States. It is estimated that over 16 million Americans are already suffering with diabetes, and 5.4 million diabetics are unaware of the disease as well as the symtoms of diabetes they have obtained. The frequency of diabetes has been increased progressively in last two decades and will continue to rise among the population of the United States.

Diabetes mellitus, often referred as diabetes is essentially a group of metabolic diseases in which a person has high blood sugar, either because the body does not produce enough insulin, or because the cells are against of insulin that is produced. The usual symtoms of diabetes are polyuria (frequent urination), polydipsia (excessive thirst) and polyphagia (increased hunger).

Diabetes can be reversed if we strictly follow proper diet, do some exercise and take good medication. Below are some home remedies which are very beneficial in reversing diabetes. They are as follows;

1. The bitter gourd is considered the best remedy for diabetes. Drink at least a tablespoon of bitter gourd juice daily. This will lower blood sugar level in your blood and urine.
2. Having bitter gourd cooked in ghee for a period of three months will reduce the sugar level in your blood by a significant amount.
3. A tablespoon juice of Indian gooseberry mixed with one cup of juice and sour gourd must be consumed once in day for two months. This will allow the pancreas to secrete insulin.
4. Drinking a glass of water with 10 leaves of holy basil, 10 neem leaves and 10 wood apple leaves early morning on an empty stomach allows level of sugar to be under control.
5. Bitter melon gourd or bitter gourd is also useful for curing diabetes. A person with diabetes can have a half-cup of bitter gourd juice regularly.
6. Take a little honey and mix equal quantity of turmeric powder and dried gooseberry powder to it. Consume this solution regularly.
7. Mango also helps you to fight against diabetes. Take about 3-4 mangoes and boil in the water.
8. For people who have higher levels of sugar, must chew 3-4 leaves of jambul (Syszygium cumini) in the morning and dusk. You can also take 3-4 jambul leaves with half glass of water.
9. Dip 60 grams of fresh ripen jambul fruit in 300 ml boiling water. After about half an hour, mash the jambul to make a juice out of it. Then drink this juice three times a day.

You will see positive results when you strictly practice these home remedies which help to reverse the diabetes. At first, you will notice the steady decrease in the frequency of symtoms of diabetes, and later the reversal of diabetes.
